Rice finally admits that the Bush administration has made numerous errors in the Iraq war while touring England. She still insists that the main strategies of the war were worth the lives of thousands of US servicemen. Rice admits Iraq errors
Rice met by protests

While on tour in Blackburn, England, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice admitted that the US had made thousands of tactical errors in Iraq, but she insists that the decision to invade Iraq was strategically correct. Such a statement did little to mollify the protestors in Blackburn, where there is a 20% Muslim population.

This is the first time that a senior member of the Bush administration has outright admitted that the administration had made major mistakes in Iraq. Usually, the Bush administration likes to blame the negative impression that the public has about Iraq on the press. They whine that the press is being unfair, covering only the negatives and ignoring the positives. Perhaps members of the press in Iraq are a bit distracted by car bombs and the threat of kidnappings to see the silver lining. Rice's admission was a step in the right direction, but it does nothing for the brave men and women this country has lost in the war.
